The Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has directly funded two social venture start-ups being incubated at NS Raghavan Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning at IIM Bangalore. The BPCL representatives Mr. Arvind Krishnaswamy – GM (Strategy) and Mr. Raviraj Jadhav (Team Leader – Strategy) visited IIMB and signed an MoU with two social venture start-ups – Mantra for Change and Anthill Creations – by agreeing to fund them.
Founded in the year 2013, Mantra4Change is a Bangalore based non-profit that works in the field of school improvement and education leadership development. MANTRA is an acronym that stands for ‘Maverick Association for Novelty, Transformation, and Radical Augmentation’. The organization envisions that every child receives an enriching learning experience towards which its mission is to enable the education ecosystem to drive continuous and sustainable improvements. Through its four programs covering single schools, educational clusters, state-level interventions, and an incubation program for early-stage education non-profits, Mantra4Change is building a community to harness collective power to achieve systemic education transformation across India.
Anthill Creations is a not for profit organisation which aims to bring back play for all age groups by building sustainable playscapes, using contextual designs and localized resources and encouraging community participation.
