Scholarships Instituted by Corporates

Various Corporates have partnered with IIMB and have instituted many scholarships.

SCHOLARSHIPDESCRIPTION
Aditya Birla ScholarshipThis merit based scholarship is open to PGP students during their first year. Among Top 20 students, only 3 students will be selected by AB group as AB scholars.
Award: The scholarship amount is Rs.1.75 lakhs per student.
Citi Women’s Leader AwardThis is a merit scholarship that covers the second year’s tuition expenses. Candidates are selected from the top 25% of the batch at the end of the first year. Nomination is done by the institute and the students are selected on the basis of their Statement of Purpose and subsequent interviews scheduled by Citi Group.
Employment in Social Sector ScholarshipThis scholarship is instituted by the IIMB to PGP,PGPPM and EPGP students after completion of their course for joining the Social sector. This scholarship would provide a student one third of his/ her fees reimbursed at the end of each year of work for the first three years in the social sector. To get full fee reimbursement, a student would therefore have to commit a minimum of three years to this sector.
Hindustan Unilever / T Thomas Scholarship:This merit-cum-means scholarship is given by HUL to one PGP second-year student. The scholarship of INR 1 lakh
IDFC FIRST Bank MBA ScholarshipIDFC FIRST Bank MBA scholarship is a need-based scholarship where INR 2,00,000 is granted for two years of full-time MBA education to students that have secured admissions in B-schools on their own merit and have a family income of less than 6 lakhs per annum. This scholarship aims to make post graduate education in Business studies accessible to those who are meritorious but are unable to afford it due to financial constraints.
Mirae Asset Foundation Scholar Award for MBA StudentsThe Mirae Assets Foundation has instituted the “Mirae Asset Foundation Scholar Award” for students pursuing post graduate studies at IIM Bangalore. The main purpose of this award is to provide scholarship to the needy students of the first year post graduate program in management (PGP) and post graduate program in business analytics (PGP-BA), whose combined family income is less than INR 8 lakhs. A scholarship amount of INR 5,00,000 is awarded to three first year PGP or PGP – BA students every year starting from this year.
Mirae Asset Foundation Scholar Award for Ph.D. StudentsThe Mirae Assets Foundation has instituted the “Mirae Assets Scholar Award” for two FPM scholars at studying at IIM Bangalore. The main purpose of this award is to attract the best talent across the country to pursue a Ph.D at IIM Bangalore. This award is awarded to the selected candidates after an internal selection process at the beginning of the 5th year of their doctoral program.
Mold-Tek Scholarship AwardThe Mold-Tek Scholarship Award was instituted by the Mold-Tek Group (which consists of two companies – MoldTek Packaging Limited & Mold-Tek Technologies Limited) to promote excellence in academics. A scholarship amount of INR 90,000 is given to the topper of the Directors Merit List (DML) every year.
NTPC Scholarship Scheme:The scholarship amounts to INR 48,000 per year. Students who belong to SC/ST/PwD categories and are in their second year of management studies, having passed the first-year examination in one attempt, are eligible for the scholarship.
Runwal Education Trust ScholarshipThis scholarship is given to a PGP student based on a combination of academic performance in the 1st year and the student’s financial need. This scholarship was instituted by Mr. Sandeep Runwal, who was a student of the PGP 1993 batch, to provide financial aid to a needy and meritorious student. Award: Cash award of Rs.100000, Medallion and Certificate
O.P. Jindal (OPJEMS) ScholarshipsThis merit based scholarship is open to PGP students during their second year.
Award: Rs.150000/-.
Societe Generale Global Solution Centre India Scholarship:This is a means scholarship that covers tuition expenses in full. Candidates are selected from the neediest applicants in the first year and subsequent interviews conducted by Societe Generale.
Smt Saraswati Kulkarni Prize for Excellence in Entrepreneurship AwardThe scholarship was instituted to Promote entrepreneurship by providing a scholarship award to the best performer in entrepreneurship course for PGP students at IIMB. The donor has endowed INR 6,00,000 towards awarding this scholarship. Thereby, every year around 6% of this corpus i.e. approx. INR 36,000 is awarded to a student pursuing an MBA at IIMB
Tata Chemicals Society for Rural Development Fellowship AwardThe Tata Chemicals Society for Rural Development Fellowship Award was instituted by the Tata Chemicals Society for Rural Development (TCSRD). This award was instituted to provide a financial aid of INR 6,00,000 (six lakhs) to one NSR Predoctoral student, preferably an SC/ST woman candidate studying at IM Bangalore.
Ubuntu ScholarshipThe Ubuntu Scholarship is a need cum merit scholarship where the focus is on financial support to needy students. IIMB subsidises fees ranging from 20% to 100% of the total fees, based on the requirements of students, and this scholarship is included as a financial aid scholarship at IIMB. This scholarship is instituted by an alumnus of IIMB who wishes to remain anonymous. A scholarship amount of INR 1,00,000 is awarded to a deserving student pursuing postgraduation degree at IIMB every year.
Wipro Sustainability Fellowship Award - NSR PredocThe Wipro Foundation has instituted an award termed the Wipro Sustainability Fellowship for one student pursuing the NSR Predoctoral program at IIM Bangalore. This is awarded to students whose research interests and work fall within the broad area of Sustainability. The award is a scholarship aid of INR 6,00,000 given to a deserving student for one year.
Wipro Sustainability Fellowship Award - Ph.D.The Wipro Foundation has instituted an award termed the Wipro Sustainability Fellowship for one student pursuing the Ph.D. at IIM Bangalore. Yes Bank ScholarshipThis scholarship of INR 2 lakhs is open to students who are among the top 20 students as per the admission criteria, belong to the top 20% of the batch based on the current CGPA and are members of at least one student committee.
